real fake phones
Submitted by Shiny on Sun, 23/05/2010 - 22:04There are plenty of fake phones for toddlers. Problem is they look like relics from 1990s. There's little in common with the average android handset or iPhone. They result is the baby doesn't see a cellphone.
Where can I find a baby proof fake phone that resembles something modern?
UPDATE: i think i need to clarify - it's not i think phone usage is an important skill for a 5 month old, but rather that she sees us using phones, and therefore wants one also, mostly to chew on. I need something resembling a Nexus one for her to chew on instead.
question and answer
Submitted by Shiny on Mon, 08/02/2010 - 11:59Q: why do baby clothes have pockets, but women's clothes do not?
A: bebe can carry my cellphone for me.
Vodafone - what kinda mickey mouse telco are you?
I'm here at mobile barcamp, with an room full of mobile tech people, and no-one can gets any data via any vodafone cellphone, on and off all day -- (mostly off and broken all day). This is normal for vodafone new zealand.seriously vodafone -- get your mobile data sorted -- 5 outages a day, 40 outages a week, all week, every week, is just stoopid. get your shit sorted KTHNXBYE.
my new bluetooth headphones.
Submitted by Shiny on Sun, 22/10/2006 - 14:47Well - less than 24 hours after we ordered the headphones, they arrived on my desk at work.
They are the Plantronics Pulsar 590A Bluetooth Headset
It's doing bluetooth 2.0, which means many things, but most importantly it copes well in a room that's already full of wifi.
Things i'm doing with these
Listening to ipod, which is in my jacket pocket, wirelessly
Listening to podcasts stored on my cellphone
answering my cellphone, and talking on the telecoping microphone
Which gadget next?

right now i'm looking at the Nokia bluetooth pens - - i've drooled over the idea of these many times - - but i've never seen one first hand. The idea is you write notes on paper using this pen, and some encoding of the image yoiu drew is sent to your nokia devices (assumably a cellphone) - where it appears as a png. you can then send that my email or MMS - - .
I brain storm on paper alot. I tried using pda apps, like Brain Forest or Thought Manager - - in fact i wrote a whole nanowrimo in brain forest (in the wrong month, but it counts).
